This past year, in 8th grade, I played cello at school. I heard that the bass was very similar to the cello, and I wanted something to do that I could be paid rock cred for. I anxiously saved up and waited over 6 months to buy a bass. I quickly realised that the bass isn't anything like the cello, and I accepted it quickly. I'd tried to play electric guitar the past year, so I knew some notes already. I have an Affinity Series Squire Fender Precision Bass, and I love it. Mine's black, with a white pickgaurd. I've been playing bass for 7 months now, and I've written 5 or 6 full songs already. I adore Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers. The only technique I need to learn now is slapping and popping.
