currently i have the cheapest version of the 4-string Fender Precision bass, but it's "powered up" with Elixer strings....and then I have a hand-me-down, ramshakle amp, it's a PeaVey TNT 100 or something like that, but it is very old *laughs* it even has a 'post gain' knob..and for a cable i have a Mini Monster Cable<---(QUALITY PRODUCT)....................However by the end of the year I'm planning to have a 4-string Soundgear Bass I don't remember the model code, but it's black w/ like a pearlish lining on the side, not very appealing to the eye but i loved the way the slap sounded (Eventually I'll put Elixers on it)............and then a Line 6 amp the LOWDOWN I fell in love with the different styles of sound
