Hi! I am, as most of you are, in love of the beautiful instrument that is the electric bass. I have only 2 years of experience playing. But I am developing my skills as fast as I can :), belive me. I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco in Mexico, so I am what some people may call a "Tapatio". I am really a prog metal-prog rock musician but more recently I have been playing very heavy stuff lol. I have been playing with several bands down here in GDL.I have played in front of many people, in my early days with only 3 or 4 friends listening to more than 3,000 people in a rock festival lol. I am really a easygoing person, it has been proven that is hard as hell to have a bad relationship with me haha. Any questions or anything you want to say to me, feel free to e-mail me. - jcenriquezs@aol.com or add me to MSN, just ask... I don't bite...haha!
See ya, JC
Equipment:
The equipment that I own is basically:
Yamaha RBX 170
Yamaha TRB1006 Bass.
Yamaha F-20B Combo.
Yamaha DGX -505 Keyboard
(I'm a yamaha junkie)
Gallien Kruger 350W Combo.
Musical Skills/Knowledge:
Musical instruments that I am experienced with are mainly the electric bass (4 strings and 6 strings) and the piano or keyboards. I am developing my music theory knowledge by taking several courses of harmony, ear training, sightreading, composition, copying and rythmic styles.
For the love of music dude, how dumb do you have to be to not write alternating 12/8 and 3/8 as 15/8? COME ON!!!
Other Interests:
I am a paintball fan (excellent player as well) and a great "improv" actor. Have you seen the show "Whose line is it anyway?", well is something like that. ---
Musical Influences:
DREAM THEATER - RUSH
- PINK FLOYD
- U2
- JACO PASTORIUS
- VICTOR WOOTEN
- JOHN PATITUCCI
You scored as Myung. Myung of Dream Theater! This man has probably the fastest finger technique around. He loves his Yamaha\'s I guess, along with their 6 strings! Definitely not a man to be ignored in a band!
You scored as Jaco. Jaco Pastorius! This man changed the way things are these days! He turned the bass into a lead instrument and made an interesting form of jazz! Bass players everywhere, while they may not like his music, at least respect him for what he did... He died after being beaten outside of a bar
hahaha yeah the red button is sweet, i dont mind you took it,more people take it the more it'll make people laugh lol :p yeah we're still friends lol hehe
oh and the stones thing, ur prob right. idk my friend is a big prog rock himself, and he classifies them as prog rock. and i was skeptical about that, so dont blame me. i thougt he knew more than me about it, he was obviously wrong.

o and another prog rock artist i like is billy sheehan. but anyways,id agree with the fans, its def prog metal. i mean it has the characteristics of prog rock such as the classical influences, somewhat improv, and teh songs often tell stories or epics. as for the metal part, u know the guitar shredding, the distorted guitars, and also visual in hope and despair. so yeah i would call it prog metal.
haha thaks man! i try to expand my knowldege as much as i can. and yes i do like progressive rock. im a big fan of king crimson, yes, emerson lake and plamer, and the moody blues (pioneer pro rock band), the good stuff. but im not really really a fan of rush or the rolling stones. what about u? what prog rock bands do u like?
