| About Me: |
| Bio: |
Hi my name is John. im half Japanese, half italian. I am pretty well at the bass and doublebass, but of course, not even close of where i want to be. i am studying classical music from my teacher right now, on the doublebass, then re-enacting it on on the electric bass. I don't mean to brag I am on both basses 4 hours a day. I'm into all kinds of music, its my life. My style is solid, yet flowing, and i try to put my feeling in when i play. If i have a gig, or playing on stage on any momnet, i'll play till till i drop! Theres nothing like playing on stage! Im also into break dancing, another passion of mine, kickboxing, basketball, and meeting other musicians.
 | You scored as Stanley Clarke. Stanley Clarke plays a lot of pentatonic scales and double stops. he started on contrabass and he says electric bass is just for fun!

| Equipment: |
| Kramer the Duke bass guitar, Fender Precision Bass
Harke 30 Watt Amp, Behringer 60 Watt Amp
|
| Musical Skills/Knowledge: |
| Mainly bass guitar and doublebass, but i can also play guitar and drums. Can also read music on the basses. Hav been playing for two years, and two years is such little time in matter of skill, so even though i might be good, i still consider myself nowhere near where i want to be. I've also been playing trumpet for 5 years, im still going to continue playing that, in future recordings probably :). Can also sing, but ususally im only need for harmony or backup vocals.

| Other Interests: |
| Besides music, i love to hang out w/ friends, see movies, GIRLS, jammin, italian food, basketball, and football! My influences on the bass (major) are (in order) jack bruce, jaco pastorius , orlando lopez, stanley clarke, flea (Hillel Slovak Period and Mother's Milk), and james jamerson.
Right now I'm working on adding more members to my band. my band is reggae/funk/improv music. and letting u know, banmds arent all what they seem to be. they stress u out, and u get pissed off more! careful who ur in band w/, it can ruin the realtionship u have w/ them. Remember, u can always go solo.

o not, destroy them. My morals and believes are what they are and aren't to be confused with other beliefs. And I didn't say you were Christian, but most people are brought up to believe in God and Jesus, or atleast, almost everybody is brought up with some sort of set of beliefs that most likely reflect Christian beliefs, "love everybody" being one of them. I don't hate EVERY rapper. I like M.C. Hammer. I like the Beastie Boys (Though they're more hip-hop) But most of the rap I have heard, I have hated. Why? Because I do. Why? Because I don't think there's anything musical about it. If you disagree with me, so be it. I'm not going to change your mind, and you aren't going to change mine. |

Well, not only have I told you my definition of music before, but, I don't believe I should have to define music anymore than I should have to explain why I love someone. I'm not angry, I'm just not only really irritated right now at something VERY personal that's happening in my life, and I hate it when people act like they know more about something than me, or act like I'm wrong or stupid about something. And I never said my Satanist ideals were to love everybody, that's the opposite of my Satanist ideals. Yes, we believe in respect rights of others, like, I wouldn't go kill somebody because I don't like them. But Christianity is the religion says "love everybody" that includes your neighbours, friends, enemies, people who cheat you, et cetera. Satanism is against that mentality. It's called Respect to those that deserve it. If a man smite you on one cheek, SMASH him on the other. When going through neutral territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop, if they d |

n't have the right to do. |

And saying that I have never listened to any of the songs, especially raps that I judge, is bull ****. I don't like a lot of bands, but when someone asks me if I like a song by that band, I don't just say "no" if I haven't heard it, I will download it and listen to it, then decide. You have no idea how I formulate my opinions, what ~most~ of my opinions are. And if by Eminem is a good musician, you mean, he's good at singing contradictory things that make no ****ing sense and have no relativity to anything, then yeah, you're right. I suppose next, you're going to say PETA is a justified organisation, and that the War on Drugs is one of the best things to ever happen to this country, right? You're full of bull****, man. I mean no offence by anything I say, but, seriously. Obviously your "superior" skills on the bass, and your deep, probably-Christian-taught ideals that you should love everybody, no matter what, give you the right to do things that I, as a perfectly equal human being, do |

Really? I'm using arrogant incorrectly? Hear I thought of it as thinking too highly of yourself and your opinions, but, I guess I was wrong..Everybody is arrogant. If we weren't arrogant, nobody would have opinions at all. And it's very true that rappers can just walk into it, because i've known many people that aren't super famous, but have gotten record deals on smaller labels, by just walking into a mic. night one night and rapping. A synthesiser is different from what rappers use. A synthesiser is still an instrument. And yes, people can talk in their songs, but there should be some singing, because it kind of eliminates the purpose. In the song Peace Frog by The Doors, he speaks during the bridge. But he sings for the rest of the song. But, knowing you and your hypocrisy, you'll probably say "Well, I hate the Doors, I don't like their music" because, after all, it's okay for you to openly say you don't like something, but it's not okay for me to do it. |

hey Johnny Tsunami!!! Have you ever heard of a band called the Minutemen? You might like em. They're like Alternitive, but the bassist (Mike Watt) is really good. they are of so many types of music it's hard to classify them. They're kind like the Pixies in a sense. Check em out you might like them |

Hey John!!
Thanks for helping me so much with slap bass, and answering all my questions. |

ion. And that all others are false. Is that not the same thing, in essence? But, oh no, they aren't arrogant, no sirree bob! Point is, I believe what I want to believe, and I believe rap isn't music. Atleast I actually have things to back myself up, instead of some people who would walk up to you, smiling like a jack ass, and go "AC/DC is the best band ever! Jaco Pastorius sucks!" "Why do you say that?" "Because they are!" I'm not one of those people. And I believe you're being arrogant not respecting MY VIEWS, AGAINST rap, as a MUSICIAN. And when Eminem says something that isn't total bull ****, maybe I'll listen to him. Have a nice day. |

|
I never said any music with an effect or synthesiser isn't music. But people can take it too far. If a rapper puts all his heart and soul into his "music" or lack-there-of, then why can a rapper come to some band like, oh, say, Linkin Park's concerts, and rap one of his own raps to the music of their song? Why? Because there's nothing to it. A song is a compilation of sounds that form a specific theme, and that falls apart without the other instruments. If I take the guitar out of Smells like Teen Spirit, it really isn't much of a Smells like Teen Spirit anymore, because the parts work together, and you pulled one out. That's how things work. Rap requires no musical knowledge whatsoever. If I had the right connections, I could go to some Mic. Night, start rapping, and if someone big heard it and liked it, I could become a rapper. Did I do anything musical? No, I just talked. It's not arrogance, it's personal belief. Many many Christians will tell you Christianity is the only true relig |
