Here are the basics: ~Tom Petty is my idol. Agree to disagree, but don't tell me otherwise cause i've been listening to him basically since I came out of the womb. ~I am not a girl who goes around flaunting her bosom to attract the attention of guys. If you are one of these girls who loves to take pictures of yourself in your bedroom either making a "kissy face" or trying to make your boobs look bigger than they actually are, stay the fuck away from me cause I already don't like you. ~I like people who are comfortable with themselves and can admit their flaws. ~I am NOT a 14-year old (I really AM 18 years old, almost 19) playing bass to try and be "cool" or "emo" or "goth" ~Country music makes me want to punch a baby (for all of you Dane Cook fans out there, haha)~I play bass because I thoroughly believe that bass is the foundation of all music, the rock that everything else is based on. Think about it, what song would sound "complete" without bass? ~I am dedicated to my instruments and being good at them which is why I signed up to be on this site.

Equipment:

My new beautiful Ibanez 4-string acoustic/electric bass!!! I recently found an Ovation Applause at a yard sale in perfect condition for 40 bucks, so I bought it! That guy had no clue what he was selling....I also have a keyboard, Bridgewater electric bass (it was my first one to test the waters with guitar since I normally play trumpet, but it has held its own even with all of the playing i've done), Fender Rumble 15 Bass Amp, Getzen trumpet (soon to be something else, not sure yet what that'll be - Stradvarius has potential though in the future), metronomes, KORG Tuner with input for near-perfect tuning...I buy all of my own shit. If you don't buy your own shit, let me just say FUCK YOU unless it's a bday or x-mas gift. Cause people in the real world work hard for every penny they spend, and it makes having nice instruments a real treat. Not just handed to them like candy. If you're a prissy rich kid who is just on this site to morph it into something like Myspace, then fuck off cause I already don't like you. Thanks :) Everyone else, i'll get along with as long as you actually play guitar for real.

Musical Skills/Knowledge:

Musical instruments that I am experienced with: ~trumpet (since 5th grade - I am in 3 bands with trumpet and am majoring in Music Performance at college) ~bass guitar(just over a year now, but I practice all the time and is definitely a love of mine). I only play bass and trumpet because I want to be good at both of them, not just play a crapload of instruments and only be okay at them. That doesn't mean I don't like other instruments, but me and the trumpet and bass have a love affair, that's all. I just want to gain some respect as a girl playing these awesome instruments and actually being good at them since there's a general stereotype about that (which I think can be proven with a lot of girls, which is probably why I don't have any friends on Bassmasta that are girls, haha). I'm not saying that i'm the best bass player ever cause that's still a work in progress, but I know my stuff musically!

Other Interests:

I love: GOOD music (which would exclude country and rap), GOOD movies (Boondock Saints, etc), people who like music as much as I do, people who create good music (i.e. Tom Petty, Rage Against the Machine, etc), my friends, jam sessions, living life and having a good time while doing so. I also like meeting cool people, so feel free to friend me! ALSO, if there are any kickass tabs that you really like and you think that I should learn, tell me about them! I love learning unique and cool tabs!

	lol, all right. I will :P I want to go the Guitar Institute of Technology and study there..form a two-bass/one-drum band with my girlfriend, if we become famous, great. If not, I want to become a college music professor :) and play professionally on the side..
	lol..yeah, I originally used a pick, just because I didn't realise how necessary it was to use your fingers...I can barely even use a pick now lol I've only been playing for like 8 months, but I practice atleast 7 hours a day and am one of the best bass players (in my age group) in the state of Michigan...I love it :)
