| I think bass is highly under-rated. No one ever really wants to learn the bass. Everyone wants to play guitar. Well you know what? Fuck That! Bass is just as good as guitar. As bassists, we are the basis of all bands. Without a bass, most music would be crappy. People just don't realize that. They think guitar is so important and so much better than bass. Plus, they think bass is super easy. They say stuff like 'It only has four strings, how hard can it be?' or 'What can a bass do? They just hit a note every couple of seconds' That may be true in newer music, but in the good old stuff, the bass was extremely active and important.
My major influences in playing style are Steve Harris, Cliff Burton, Victor Wooten, and Flea. I love playing funk more than I love playing metal. But I love playing metal a whole lot.
