My name is Jim, im 22...and just trying to learn the Bass. I've been playing drums for about 10 years, and i guess im perty decent. Im really into Jam bands, and am probably the biggest DeadHead you know....all the music i hear i hear with 2 ears, my drum ear, and my bass ear. I have a real true funk running through me head, and im just trying to harbor it, ya know. I hear this open, off beat funky bassline in every song....im just trying to play it.
Right now, im going through the motions, got me a beginners book, and im learning the notes. At the same time, im spending a bunch of time picking up songs i know off of this site, and trying to piece them together. Im just getting the fingering down, with no fuzz, and moving quickly...yadda-yadda-yadda
