erm, yea, i just started bass, so i'm not that good yet, but i'm working on it...
I play in our school's jazz band and concert band on the oldest bass in the history of basses. (i also use a brand new shiney rogue :-)
I am possibly one of the largest zep fans out there
no one knows it because i dont broadcast it like many posers out there who are all like "oh yea zeppelin in my favorite band EVER!" and then when you see their interests like on myspace they spell zeppelin zeplin. its like GOSH get it right or dont say it at all!
my other favorite band is the chili peppers, but they dont even come close to how historicly awesome zeppelin is. not was IS

| I'm open to any hints or suggestions on how to play well or things i should try! let me say this. i am not a good bassist. i have been playing bass for maybe six months. i am absolutely HORRID at slapping but i try. but, when i can play a song i pick it up quickly and i learn fast. |

slapping and popping:
take your hand and make a thumbs up.
turn it so your thumb can directly hit the e string.
turn your wrist downward and upward really fast, and you will hit the string. you have just slapped. if you wanna pop, take your pinky out and set it under the g string. bring it upwards. you have just popped. |
