Bio:

Hi People. My name's James Long, i'm 15 and from Freckleton (a small village in Lancashire), I live in the UK and im really into PUNK ROCK music. I find that punk rock is the easiest for me to express my musical inspiration (When im not doing my best to tab things im in my room playin on my bass to songs I know and learning new ones). I'm still using most stage 1 progress bass book 'cos they help learn things which I could learn from my dad (hes an amateur bassist) which proves im a N00B :'( but still, my friends and band mates thing im still pretty damn good. I'm a band and we're called "Temple Of Keep", I play Bass and Im on backup vocals and vocals on any song that i can sing to better than our lead guitarist/singer Bradley. My Idol of all time is THE GREAT MIKE DIRNT! and MARK HOPPUS, they may not get along with each other but they both provide awesome basslines to the songs they write and play. My fav. bands of all time are GREEN DAY, BLINK 182, THE RAMONES, SUM 41 and GOOD CHARLOTTE as Blink 182 and Green Day have been around since the 80's and 90's (well Blink haven't I dont think but Green Day have for sure:)). I'll update this more as i progress and put on any new news to what im doing or what im learning. YES MY BANDS PLAYING AT THE TALENT SHOW IN MAY. We're doin our own song (if we can make one) and girl all the bad guys want by BFS scored as classic rock.

Equipment:

I own a Stagg BC300 Matt black Gothic version, a Navy Blue Battered up (but still good sound) Aria Pro 2 MAB-20/5 5 string bass and a stagg 20watt amp. Scrap the Gbson Thunderbird idea Im getting MARK HOPPUSES SIGNATURE JAZZ BASS, im 1/4 of the way and i should have it by next year hopefully XDXDXD

Musical Skills/Knowledge:

I know a hell of a lot about Green Day, I can play and sing along to any blink 182 song if mark is singing (no offence to Tom Delonge but I think mark is the better singer) and as long as the bass line isn't extremely hard (which it usually isn't)
