Okay so I am fingerboy and i play the bass guitar. Been playing for 5 years and loved every second, there is always something new to learn, everyday i find myself learning something new. I've been taking lessons for 4 years from a very experienced player that lives in Pahrump. "his name is Dan Bickle". I've played in many amature compitions with some great talented bass players. I am a solo artist, i dont want to deal with bands. I am a rocker at heart, many of my music can be heavy with distortion or light like a jazz tune or Jaco tune. To me if you want to be a true bassist you need to go outside the box and learn other styles of music, i play metal, reggae, jazz, funk, blues, blue grass, oldies, classical, no rap or punk or country though i cant get into that stuff. True bassists play with the fingers, never use a pic with the bass! Something that pisses me off is guitar players. They think that guitar is so hard well, everything that you do on a guitar you can to on the bass. We can slap, solo, tap, and so on. Like i said before everything a guitar player does we can do, some do it better. BUT a guitarist cant slap it sounds crappy. I have many guitar players challenge me and i win. We do bass offs with me playing bass and them playing guitar. they solo and i solo. All you great players out there remember this bass is way harder then the guitar and we need to start recieving the respect we deserve. I'll end with a quote "SCREW GUITAR PLAY BASS"
