| I am a freshman in high school. I have been playing guitar for about 2 years but I wanted to switch to bass, I've been playing for about a year. I love to play metal and rock. My favorite band is Metallica. My favorit bassist is Cliff Lee Burton. I also play all kinds of rock from Black Sabbath to Red Hot Chilli Peppers. As i said, I also play guitar, I really don't play much electric anymore, I love to play acoustic. My favorite songs to play on acoustic are Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, and Over the Hills and Far Away by Led Zeppelin. I also have been a lead singer in two local bands. I have played bass in two bands before my current band. We are having trouble practicing because of different things, so, I'm looking to join a band that is serious about music. | I own an OLP 4-string bass-its preety good for such a cheap price (around $240, but its a beginner bass so im looking at some Shectors and Artisans to get in the near future. My amp is small and shitty but it works, im gunna get a 100 watt used crate within the next 2 monthes though. I also have a nice Washburn acoustic 6-string guitar, it costs around $120, not bad at all for a cheap price. I currently use either Ernie Ball or D'Addario strings, just cuz i don't wanna spend $60 on Elixer's-lol. For picks on guitar I prefer to use Fender heavy-they're always reliable. For straps I like Levy's. This is a review on my bass.
This killer 4-string design has never been more affordable. Built to MusicMan-approved specs, it pumps out gigantic waves of subharmonic sound. Quality construction includes a basswood body, a maple neck and fretboard on natural finish or maple neck/rosewood fretboard on solid colors, with chrome hardware, open-gear tuners, and that infamously massive humbucker. 2 volume and single tone controls. Overall rating (out of 10): 8.63.
